Notice of Vacancy –
General Rules Advisory Committee

The Minnesota Supreme Court seeks to fill a handful of vacancies on the General Rules of Practice Advisory Committee.  The court encourages judges, attorneys, and court administrators to apply.  The three-year term of service will begin in August 2007 with an opportunity to be reappointed for an additional three-year term.

The Committee is responsible reviewing proposed local rules of practice and the need for changes to the general rules of practice, and making recommendations thereon to the Court.  The Committee meets one or more times annually, usually in late summer/early fall, and more often as circumstances dictate.

Persons interested in becoming a member of the Committee should send a letter of interest and resume to Frederick Grittner, Clerk of the Appellate Courts, 305 Judicial Center, 25 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul, Minnesota 55155.  The application deadline is Wednesday, April 25, 2007.

Your application will be accessible to the public upon filing with the court.  Do not include information in your application that you do not want the public to view.

If you have questions about the Committee, please contact Staff Attorney Mike Johnson at michael.johnson@courts.state.mn.us or 651-297-7584.
