The Second Judicial District is Seeking to Expand Membership for its Family Court Early Case Management Steering Committee

The Ramsey County Early Case Management Steering Committee was convened in 2009 and meets approximately six times a year. The purpose of this Committee is to (1) facilitate communication among stakeholders and the court about Family Court Case Management practices; (2) develop and recommend ideas on how to improve services to achieve better outcomes for those who appear in family court; (3) monitor the quality of services offered and procedures followed in family court; and (4) encourage cooperation between the Court and Alternative Dispute Resolution providers, mental health professionals, and attorneys.
Makeup: The committee is currently comprised of Alternative Dispute Resolution professionals, attorneys, mental health professionals, Judicial Officers, and Court Administration.
Current membership: Hon. Joy Bartscher, Referee Elizabeth Clysdale, Referee Rebecca Rossow, Referee Kristi Snow-Kaster, Referee James Street, Tama Hall, Terri Barett, Cary Miller-Dolan, Scott Rodman, Valerie Snyder, Tom Tuft, Kristin Woulfe.
Admitted to practice law, and in good standing. Preference will be given to applicants whose practice is primarily family law and has his or her practice primarily in Ramsey County. The committee is currently seeking an attorney who works for a smaller firm or is a sole practitioner and represents clients from under represented communities, particularly communities of color. The applicant should be able to attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings, with occasional work outside of meetings.
