District Courts in Cass and Morrison Counties Now Offer Civil eFiling and eService

Attorneys wishing to file and serve their civil cases in the district courts in Cass and Morrison counties can now register to file and serve electronically. The option of electronic filing and serving, eFiling and eService, is part of the Judicial Branch’s eCourtMN initiative, which seeks to move Minnesota courts from paper files to electronic records.

Cass and Morrison district courts have joined the district courts in Hennepin and Ramsey counties as early adopters in offering eFiling and eService to attorneys. eFiling for self-represented litigants will be offered at a later date.

In conjunction with Clay County District Court, which will begin offering eFiling on July 30, Cass and Morrison are among the first courts to test and help develop the statewide eCourtMN implementation rollout process, which will be used by other courts in the future.
