THIS INFORMATION IS FOR JURORS SUMMONS FOR THE TWO-WEEK TERM THAT BEGINS ON MONDAY, MAY 20, 2019.

Good news jurors. We do not need any jurors to report this afternoon nor tomorrow morning. All jurors are required to check back on Wednesday, May 22, at 11:00 a.m. for further instructions.

Scott County has morning and afternoon court and there can be up to 20 jury trials scheduled on any given day. You will be asked to call in after 4:30 p.m. on most days and you will receive reporting information for the next days’ court calendar. There will be times when you may have to call or check the website at 11:00 a.m. and if your group number is identified, the report time would be 12:45 – 1:00 p.m. that same day.  It is very important to tell your employer that you are currently on-call for jury duty as you may be asked to leave work in the middle of the day to report.

When you report for jury service, check in at the Scott County Administration Building (connected to the Justice Center), 2nd Floor, Room 202A, 200 4th Avenue West, Shakopee, MN.  Jurors are expected to be neat in appearance.  Business casual attire is recommended.  You may wish to bring reading materials for time you may spend waiting during the selection process.  Electronic devices are permitted in the jury assembly room, but are not allowed in the courtroom.  Jurors will be subject to weapons screening upon entering the courthouse.   You may bring snacks or beverages in closed containers.  There are vending machines available on site.  You should park on the south side of the building or along 5TH Avenue.  Be aware that some of the on-street parking has a two hour limit so avoid those areas.
If you have questions or concerns that are not addressed here, please contact Scott County Court Administration at (952) 496-8200, select the prompts for Court Administration, Jury Division.

Thank you for your service!
