Scott County Juror Reporting Information

Jurors must keep in contact with us throughout their two-week term. You will need to check this website or call the jury message line
(952) 496-8201 whenever you are directed to do so.

Your group number appears on the top right-hand side of your summons.

We do not have jury trials scheduled for the rest of the week. As of today, your jury term is complete.

By using the call in system here in Scott County, you are considered to have served on a jury in the State of MN. If you move to another county or are pooled for a Federal case, you can tell them you have served on a jury within the past four years. You can give them the county you served in and your date of service and they can excuse you from their pool.

Thank you for being an important part of our judicial system by serving as a juror here in Scott County.

Scott County has morning and afternoon court and there can be up to 20 jury trials scheduled on any given day. You will be asked to call in after 4:30 p.m. on most days and you will receive reporting information for the next days’ court calendar. There will be times when there is no afternoon court, but one of the cases from  the morning’s session may end up going to trial. When this occurs, you would have to call back or check the website at 11:30 a.m. and the report would be 12:45 – 1:00. It is very important to tell your employer that you are currently on-call for jury duty as you may be asked to leave work in the middle of the day to report.

When you report for jury service, check in at the Scott County Conference Center at 205 W. 4th Ave., Shakopee, MN (across 4th Avenue from the courthouse). There are no vending machines, so please bring whatever snacks or beverages you may need in closed containers.   Some of the on-street parking has a two hour limit so please avoid those areas. There is Wi-Fi access at this time at the Conference Center. There are security measures similar to airport screening so please do not bring any sharp objects with you; they may be confiscated. You should wear neat, comfortable clothes; however, shorts are not acceptable.
If you have questions or concerns that are not addressed here, please contact Scott County Court Administration at (952) 496-8200, select the prompts for Court Admininstration, Jury Division.
Thank you for your service!
