Criminal Records

The Criminal Division office is responsible for maintaining all Criminal Court files. Over 50,000 cases are filed each year.  Records are maintained at two locations:

Records for cases filed in St. Paul and records for all felony cases filed in the 2nd District are housed at: Records for non-felony cases filed in the Ramsey County suburbs (including Maplewood, Shoreview, Arden Hills, New Brighton, Mounds View, Little Canada, North Oaks, Roseville, Vadnais Heights, North St. Paul, White Bear Township, White Bear Lake, Falcon Heights and Lauderdale) are housed at:

All records that have been added to our document image database (felonies and gross misdemeanors: 2000 to the present, misdemeanors: 2005 to the present) may be accessed using self-service computers provided at either location. Document originals, however, may only be reviewed at the appropriate location as listed above.  Additional computer access is available at the Law Enforcement Center, located at 425 Grove Street, St. Paul, MN, 55101. 

Records prior to 1997 may be available on Microfiche at the St. Paul Court House Location.
