Is eFile/eServe available in all jurisdictions?

Not yet.  Certain counties in Minnesota are piloting the effort.  Check the Implementation page of the MN Judicial Branch site to find out which jurisdictions offer EFS.

Who has to register?

Attorneys and Court business partners must register.  You must register for each case in which you participate.

How do I register?

Designate someone in your office Administrator.  This person will be responsible for managing your office account.  Before registering, the Administrator must attend a training session and receive complete instructions on registration.

For more information on the registration process, visit the Steps to Start eFiling and eServing page of the MN Judicial Branch site or the Register for Odyssey File & Serve section on this page.

If I sign up for eService, am I notified about all my cases?

No.  You must sign up to receive eService on each case individually, eFiling into a case or being the attorney of record does not mean that you have signed up for eService.  For more information on signing up for eService please see the eService guide and for more information on sending eService please see the last page of the eFiling Guide.

Not at this time.

How do I submit a proposed document without a signature?

All documents that require a judge's signature should be submitted with the Filing Code of Proposed Document and the Filing Description stating the title of the document being filed.  Documents that have not been signed by a judge should never be filed as Orders.

Are there printable instructions?

Printable instructions and resources are available on this page in the Resources section.  Additionally, reference materials specific to each court (Civil, Family, Criminal, etc.) are available in the FAQ table above.  These documents provide the codes you might need and procedures specific to that office/court.
