The trial will resume 11 a.m. Thursday, April 25, in courtroom C1953 at the Hennepin County Government Center.

The trial in this case began on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Hennepin County Government Center. Initial instructions to the jury panel and jury questionnaires took place on April 1. 75 jurors were drawn on April 1. No identifying juror information will be released per an order for confidential jury. A jury panel of 12 jurors and 4 alternates was seated on April 8.

Courtroom C1953 has 37 seats in total. There will be 15 seats reserved for members of the media in courtroom C1953 for the duration of the trial, with one seat per outlet. Six of the 15 seats will be reserved for local media outlets, and nine of the 15 seats will be reserved for national or international media outlets. Media outlets should email Spenser Bickett with the name of the reporter who will use the seat to have one reserved. At this time, all of those seats have been reserved.

Because of significant interest in this case, an audio and video feed of the proceedings will be played in an overflow courtroom on the 19th floor to accommodate those who do not have a seat in the courtroom. There are 78 seats in the overflow courtroom. Twenty seats in the overflow courtroom have been reserved for members of the media on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you are unable to reserve a seat in the main courtroom, members of the media are free to sit in one of the 58 seats available to members of the public in the overflow courtroom.
