The Statewide Payables Lists set forth those offenses for which an individual can choose to pay the listed fine in lieu of making a court appearance.  The statewide lists are authorized by Minn. Stat. § 609.101, subd. 4, and are approved annually by the Judicial Council after consultation with affected state and local agencies such as the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Natural Resources, local law enforcement, and County Court Administrators.

The lists posted on this website are the Statewide Payables Lists.  Minn. R. Crim. P. 23.03 also provides authority for each county to establish local payables lists if the county operates a violations bureau.  The local lists may be identical to the Statewide Lists, or they may contain slight differences.  Consult your local County Court Administrator to determine if a local payables list exists in your county.

Please note that the lists posted here also contain a column for the local law library fee.  The law library fee is authorized by statute, but differs from county to county.  Each county utilizing the Statewide Lists will fill in that amount.  For purposes of posting the lists here, that number has been left blank.  Therefore, the total fine amount column does not include the law library fee.
