Appointed June 29, 1995, by Governor Arne Carlson. Elected 1996, 2002, 2008, and 2014. Retired on Jan. 7, 2020. Appointed and assigned to serve statewide as Senior Judge from July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2025.

William Mitchell College of Law (J.D. cum laude 1982); University of Minnesota (B.A. 1977).

Assistant Dakota County Attorney (Criminal Division 1986-95, Juvenile Prosecution Division 1985-86, Human Services Division 1982-85).

Chair, Dakota County Task Force on Policies and Programming for Women Offenders (1991-present); State of Minnesota Advisory Task Force on the Female Offender; Supreme Court Gender Fairness Implementation Committee; Dakota County Domestic Violence Task Force; First Judicial District Domestic Violence Coordinating Council.
