Who is the incumbent background screening vendor?
MRA The Management Association
 
What are the primary shortcomings of the current vendor?
The Minnesota Judicial Branch is required to periodically open services to a competitive bidding process. The current contract will expire June 30, 2025.
 
How many background screens are conducted annually for MJB?
Approximately 750-800 including employees and contractors.
 
Is there a specific background screening package currently used for MJB? If so, please specify the included services, such as:
  1. 10-Year SSN Trace
  2. National Sex Offender Registry Search
  3. OIG, SAM, and OFAC Exclusions List Checks
  4. Monthly Monitoring
  5. E-Verify
  6. I-9 Verification
  7. Any other required components
The Minnesota Judicial Branch requesting recommendations for job applicants. We are currently checking 10-Year SSN Trace, National Criminal Search, Statewide Search, Federal Search.
 
Are there any integrations with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) that need to be considered?
The Minnesota Judicial Branch uses Oracle for its Applicant Tracking System (ATS). Integration is a plus but not a requirement.
 
Will MJB manually input applicant information into the vendor’s platform, or will applicants receive a link via email or text to complete their application?
Currently, applicants receive a link to input their information.
 
Will MJB upload applicant information via an Excel spreadsheet?
No.
 
Should pricing include rush processing or expedited services fees, if applicable?
Please provide a typical turnaround time and any extra fees for rush processing.
 
Should pricing be presented as per-search costs, bundled packages, or both?
Both.
 
Is there a required format for presenting pricing information, such as a specific table or structured breakdown?
There is no specific required format for presenting pricing information.
 
Is LDAP authentication the “preferred” authentication mechanism?
The Minnesota Judicial Branch has yet to determine the preferred authentication mechanism.
 
Is there any specific customization you would like to see in the background screening platform?
No.
