Afghanistan from January 2005 to June 2005. Military awards include the Bronze Star, two Meritorious Service Medals, two Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medals, a Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, a Afghanistan Service Medal, and an Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. Retired from the Marine Corps on September 1, 2010, as a Colonel, after 27 years of service.
