New Filing Fee Available for Filing Lockout and Emergency Tenant Remedies
What is happening? Beginning January 1, 2024, a new filing fee will be available in the Optional Service and Fee section of eFile and eServe (eFS). This fee is being added as a result of the omnibus Judiciary and Public Safety bill passed at the end of the 2023 legislative session.

What does this affect? Anyone using eFS to electronically file new cases for actions involving Lockout and Emergency Tenant Remedies should use the new Housing - Tenant Exclusion or Emergency Action Filing Fee. The filing fee is required unless an Affidavit of Inability to Pay Filing Fee - Housing has been filed, if applicable. Visit
