Internal Notice of MN eFile and eServe (eFS) Production Issue - Document Security may default incorrectly in an envelope or document

Notice of MN eFile and eServe (eFS) Production Issue
Environment(s): MN eFile and eServe (eFS) Production
eFS is experiencing issues affecting eFiling and eServing
What is happening?  Document Security may default incorrectly in an envelope or document.

  • Document security is changed in one envelope, then the following envelope will default with the document security from the previous envelope.
  • Document security is changed in an envelope with more than one document, the document security may default back to the original document security.

What does this affect?  This affects document security for all case types.  You may see additional cases appearing on the document security report 5008. This report finds documents that are classified too high and is monitored by the districts.  The document security report 3308 finds documents that are classified too low and is monitored by data quality.

Are there any workarounds?  Closely monitor and review all documents in each envelope to verify the correct document security is applied before accepting the document(s) in eFS. Situations where this occurs:

  • Document security is changed in one envelope, then the following envelope will default with the document security from the previous envelope.
    • In this situation, verify document security in each envelope and document(s) before accepting the filing in eFS.
  • Document security is changed in an envelope with more than one document, the document security may default back to the original document security.
    • In this situation, verify each document(s) has the appropriate document security before accepting the filing in eFS.

What happens next? We will continue to monitor the situation and work with Tyler to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
At this time, you may continue to review and accept filings as normal.  We will provide additional information as it is available.
