Updates on Invoicing Practices

As we start the 3
rd week of working in the Examiner Resource Application (ERA), your help is requested in making the following adjustments in your billing practices.
- Starting today, examiners will see two new service type options for interview service time.
- “Interview – Remote” should be used by examiners when billing for interview time when a remote technology (ITV, Phone, other communication tool) is used to conduct interviews with defendants or respondents.
- “Interview – In Person” service type should be used when in-person interviews are conducted.
The modifications to the interview service type options have been implemented to track the shift by examiners to conducting interviews remotely over the past two weeks.
- Currently, the service type “Evaluation” appears in the service type list. Please discontinue using this service type option and select one of the other service types that better describe your service time.
