Advisory Committee Seeks Public Comment on Supplemental Recommendations Concerning the Code of Judicial Conduct and Rules of the Board on Judicial Standards


The Supreme Court Advisory Committee to Review the Minnesota Code of Judicial Conduct and Rules of the Board on Judicial Standards has prepared supplemental recommendations for changes to Canon 2C of the Code in response to the petition of the Minnesota State Bar Association, as well as recommendations concerning chemical dependency and mental health diversion programs for judges under the Rules of the Board on Judicial Standards. In order to obtain the broadest public input, the Committee is publishing its supplemental recommendations and seeking written comment from the public.

All persons, including members of the Bench and Bar, desiring to present a written statement concerning the Committee's supplemental recommendations, shall file such statement with Chris Ruhl, Committee staff, at 105 Minnesota Judicial Center, 25 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, Minnesota, 55155, or by email at chris.ruhl@courts.state.mn.us on or before Friday, September 3, 2004.
