Alyssa Siems Roberson Named Director of Public Affairs

Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea and Minnesota State Court Administrator Jeff Shorba have announced that Alyssa Siems Roberson will be the new Director of Public Affairs for the Minnesota Judicial Branch, effective March 26, 2018.

In that role, Siems Roberson will handle all public relations for the Minnesota Judicial Branch. She will also oversee staff responsible for media relations, public outreach, oversight of the Judicial Branch website, and providing assistance with high-profile cases.

Siems Roberson was selected after a nationwide search that produced a deep pool of applicants. She currently holds the title of Director of Communications with the Minnesota Senate Minority Caucus, and has extensive experience working with Minnesota media in a variety of roles. She is a cum laude graduate of Minnesota State University – Mankato with a degree in Public Relations.

“Alyssa is a talented communicator, a results-orientated manager, and an experienced media relations professional,” said State Court Administrator Shorba. “More than that, she has demonstrated a remarkable work ethic and a passion for helping citizens better understand government information and decisions. We are pleased to welcome her to the Judicial Branch, and are grateful that she will be utilizing her talent and experience to support the work of Minnesota’s courts.”

Siems Roberson will replace current Director of Communications and Public Affairs Beau Berentson, who has accepted a different position within the State Court Administrator’s Office, effective March 26.
