Amy J. Doll Appointed to Fill Eighth Judicial District Vacancy


Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Amy J. Doll as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District. Ms. Doll is replacing the Honorable Gerald J. Siebel, and will be chambered at Elbow Lake in Grant County.
 
“I am very pleased to appoint Amy Doll to serve as Judge in Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District,” said Governor Mark Dayton. “Ms. Doll has proven her commitment to justice throughout her career, and has shown a true passion for public service in her support for education at all levels.”
 
Ms. Doll is an associate attorney at Fluegel, Anderson, McLaughlin & Brutlag, Chartered, where she handles a variety of legal matters including personal injury, wrongful death, employment, contract disputes, social security disability claims and appeals. Previously, she served as a member of the Morris Area Community Education Advisory Council and the Board of Education for the Morris Area Public Schools and St. Mary’s Catholic School. Ms. Doll earned her B.A. from the University of Minnesota-Morris and her J.D. from the William Mitchell College of Law.
 
Ms. Doll is a volunteer judge for the Minnesota State Bar Association Mock Trial Program and serves on the University of Minnesota Morris Alumni Association Advisory Board. She is also a regular volunteer host on Pioneer Public Television in Appleton.
 
Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District consists of Big Stone, Chippewa, Grant, Kandiyohi, Lac Qui Parle, Meeker, Pope, Renville, Stevens, Swift, Traverse, Wilkin, and Yellow Medicine Counties.
