Carol Weikle named Court Administrator for Brown, Nicollet Counties

Judges in Minnesota’s Fifth Judicial District have appointed Carol Weikle the Court Administrator for Brown and Nicollet county district courts. Weikle will replace Carol Melick, who recently retired after 35 years of service with the Minnesota Judicial Branch, including 14 years as Court Administrator.

Weikle has worked for Brown County Court Administration since 1988 and has been Court Operations Supervisor in Brown County since 2000. She received training at Hutchinson Community College and Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.

As Court Administrator, Weikle will oversee Court Administration staff in both Brown and Nicollet counties. These offices provide staff support for a full range of court operations for the district courts, including processing and management of all records and files of the court as well as providing services to the public, other county offices, and the judiciary.

Weikle’s appointment became effective today, July 21.
