City of Minneapolis Dismisses All Pending "Stop on Red" Citations

As a result of the recent Minnesota Supreme Court decision in the State v. Daniel Kuhlman matter, the City of Minneapolis has dismissed all pending "Stop on Red" citations effective May 7, 2007. If you have a pending "Stop on Red" citation, there is nothing you need to do with the citation because it has been "dismissed."

If you have made a motion to reopen a "Stop on Red" ticket that you have already paid, the City of Minneapolis offers the following settlement proposal: City of Minneapolis’ Settlement Letter (pdf). Also see the State of Minnesota versus the "Stop on Red" Claimants et. el. MACDL Amicus Memo (pdf).

Please call the Minneapolis City Attorney's Office at 612-673-2010 if you have any questions regarding this matter.
