Committee for Equality and Justice Seeks Community Member to Join the Committee

The Minnesota Judicial Council’s Committee for Equality and Justice (CEJ) is seeking applications from community members to join the CEJ. Committee members serve staggered two-year, terms, with the opportunity to serve a second consecutive term.

The CEJ was established to work collaboratively across the Judicial Branch to advance efforts to eliminate bias from court operations, promote equal access to the court, and inspire a high level of trust and public confidence in the Minnesota Judicial Branch.

The CEJ meets approximately four times per year – twice in person and twice remotely. Meetings generally take place for two and a half hours. In addition, members participate in subcommittees that meet between the full CEJ meetings, approximately once per month for an hour.

Membership for the Committee for Equality and Justice is reflective of the state’s geographic and demographic diversity and is comprised of 30 individuals. Members of the community, justice system partners, and attorneys are encouraged to apply.

To apply, please submit a letter of interest and resume to committeeforequalityandjustice@courts.state.mn.us by Wednesday July 22, 2026.
