Governor Dayton Appoints Rachel C. Sullivan to Fill Sixth Judicial District Vacancy

Governor Mark Dayton today announced the appointment of Rachel C. Sullivan as a District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District. Ms. Sullivan will be replacing the Honorable David E. Ackerson, and will be chambered at Hibbing in St. Louis County.
“I am pleased to appoint Ms. Rachel Sullivan to serve as a District Court Judge for Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District,” said Governor Dayton. “Her knowledge of and dedication to the law, along with her strong commitment to the Hibbing community, will serve Minnesotans well.”
Minnesota’s Sixth Judicial District consists of Carlton, Cook, Lake, and St. Louis Counties.

About Rachel C. Sullivan:
Ms. Sullivan is an attorney at Prebich & Sullivan, P.C., where she is a general practitioner, handling civil, family, criminal, and probate matters. As part of her practice, Ms. Sullivan serves as a neutral mediator, Early Neutral Evaluation Evaluator, and Parenting-Time Expeditor. Previously, she was an associate attorney at Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren, Ltd., an associate attorney at Lockridge Gridal Nauen, P.L.L.P, and a law clerk at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. She earned her B.A. from Boston University and her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
Ms. Sullivan serves on the Hibbing Public School Board and is a member of the Hibbing Chisholm Youth Hockey Association Board of Directors.
