Today, Governor Mark Dayton announced the appointment of Heather M. Wynn as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Tenth Judicial District. Ms. Wynn is replacing the Honorable James T. Reuter, and will be chambered at Pine City in Pine County.

“Through her work on child protection, criminal prosecution, and on behalf of local governments, Ms. Heather Wynn has demonstrated a commitment to justice and service throughout her distinguished legal career,” said Governor Mark Dayton. “I wish her well as she takes on this important new role, as District Court Judge in Minnesota’s Tenth Judicial District.”

Ms. Wynn is an Assistant Kanabec County Attorney, where she prosecutes felony offenses and handles all child protection cases. She earned her B.A. from Bethel College and her J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law.

Ms. Wynn serves on the Board of Directors for Pine Habilitation and Employment, Inc., and volunteers as a judge for the Minnesota High School Mock Trial Program. She was also on the Pine City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and a volunteer attorney for the Ask an Attorney Program.
