Judicial Branch welcomes public input on transcript rates

The Minnesota Judicial Branch welcomes public input on its transcript rates set forth in Policy 221 – Court Reporter Transcript Rates.

Every two years, the Judicial Branch reviews its transcript rates to determine whether adjustments are needed. Survey responses from justice partners and members of the public will be used to inform the Judicial Branch’s analysis.

Current court reporter transcript rates are as follows:

  • The criminal and juvenile delinquency transcript rate is $4.25 per page.
  • The civil, family, probate, child protection, and sexual psychopathic personality/ sexually dangerous person (SPP/SDP) transcript rate is $5.75 per page.
  • The transcript rate for all expedited transcripts is negotiated between the court reporter and the requesting party.

The Judicial Branch welcomes feedback from all those who work in and rely on our courts.

The survey is available through September 30, 2026.
