The Minnesota Judicial Branch is updating its strategic plan and wants the public's input on its priorities.
Every two years, the Minnesota Judicial Branch creates a strategic plan to support its mission and vision. The plan guides how the Branch makes decisions and allocates its budget. As part of this process, the Branch gathers input from litigants, justice partners, and members of the public. The ideas and experiences garnered through the survey help inform the future direction of the Minnesota Judicial Branch.
The survey is available online. Participants may answer as many or as few questions as they want. All responses are anonymous. The deadline to participate in the survey is Friday, Feb. 20.
Before completing the survey, the Minnesota Judicial Branch encourages survey participants to consider the Branch's mission, vision, and goals:
- Mission: To provide justice through a system that assures equal access for the fair and timely resolution of cases and controversies.
- Vision: The general public and those who use the court system will refer to it as accessible, fair, consistent, responsive, free of discrimination, independent, and well-managed.
- Values: Collaboration, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Equal Justice for All, Innovation, Public Service, Public Trust and Confidence
- Strategic Goals: Access to Justice, Effective Administration of Justice, and Public Trust & Accountability
The Minnesota Judicial Branch’s Roadmap sets long-range targets that define its two-year strategic plans. You can read the current FY26-27 Strategic Plan online. When approved, the FY28-29 Strategic Plan will be available on the Minnesota Judicial Council page on the Minnesota Judicial Branch website.
