ST. PAUL, MN (Feb. 4, 2004) – The Minnesota Supreme Court Advisory Committee on the Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch will hold a hearing for public comment on its proposed changes to the rules on Thursday, February 12 at 2 p.m. in Room 230 of the Minnesota Judicial Center in St. Paul.
The advisory committee must make final recommendations to the Supreme Court by April 2, 2004. In order to include the broadest public input into its process, the committee is circulating a report on its preliminary positions and is holding a public hearing to invite comment.
The deadline for submitting written statements and requesting time to speak before the committee has been extended from February 6 to February 9, 2004.
All persons, including members of the bench and bar, desiring to present written statements concerning the committee’s recommendations, but who do not wish to make an oral presentation at the hearing, must submit their written comments to Michael Johnson, committee staff, at 140 Judicial Center, 25 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul, Minnesota 55155, or Michael.Johnson@courts.state.mn.us on or before February 9, 2004.
All persons desiring to make an oral presentation at the hearing must file the material to be presented with the committee staff, together with a request to make an oral presentation. Such statements and requests shall be filed on or before February 9, 2004.
