Minnesota Supreme Court to begin video livestreaming of oral arguments
Posted: Wednesday, August 23, 2017
Livestreaming will begin on Monday, August 28, when the Court is scheduled to hear oral arguments in The Ninetieth Minnesota State Senate, et al. vs. Mark B. Dayton, et al. (Case No. A17-1142). Oral arguments in that case are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. in the State Capitol Courtroom.
Livestreaming of oral arguments will continue when the Supreme Court resumes its regular calendar in September.
“The Minnesota Supreme Court is committed to maintaining the public’s trust in our Court, and ensuring the openness and accessibility of our public proceedings,” said Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea. “By livestreaming our oral arguments, we hope to give more Minnesotans the opportunity to see their highest Court in action, and to learn more about how our Court considers and decides the important legal matters that come before us.”
