Public Notice Detail

Notice of Opportunity to Comment on Use of ITV in Criminal Cases

In April 2006, the Judicial Council recommended that the Court approve for statewide use a revised ITV protocol. Upon receipt of the recommendation, the Court noted that implementation of the revised protocol could potentially conflict with provisions of the Minnesota Rules of Criminal Procedure, and referred the matter to the Advisory Committee on Rules of Criminal Procedure for recommendations as to draft rules implementing the protocol and comments relating to use of ITV in criminal matters. The committee submitted its report on February 2, 2007.

The Supreme Court has set the matter on for hearing on May 15, 2007, at 2 p.m. in the Minnesota Judicial Center, Courtroom 300.
