Order regarding continuing operations of the Minnesota Judicial Branch


Minnesota Supreme Court Chief Justice Lorie S. Gildea issued an order on November 20, 2020 regarding continuing operations of the Minnesota Judicial Branch. The order is effective November 30, 2020 and will remain in effect for 60 days. It limits in-person activities in court facilities and conducts remote hearings to the extent possible for all case types. Jury trials in progress will continue until complete. There will be no new jury trials until February 1, 2021. Exceptions may be granted for in-person court proceedings under limited circumstances.
