​Ramsey County District Court to Host Court Interpreter Open House in St. Paul on November 15


Minnesota’s Second Judicial District in Ramsey County is inviting interpreters who would like to learn more about interpreting for the Minnesota Judicial Branch to a Court Interpreter Open House in St. Paul on the evening of Wednesday, November 15. The free event will be held at the Ramsey County Courthouse, located at 15 W. Kellogg Blvd. in Saint Paul, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Court interpreting demonstrations will be held at 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The Second Judicial District provides interpreter services for over 40 different languages. Interpreters who interpret in fields other than the state court system, and all who would like to know more about Interpreting for the state court system, are encouraged to attend.

About Minnesota’s Second Judicial District and Ramsey County District Court
 
The Second Judicial District Court (Ramsey County District Court) is a unified trial court with general jurisdiction to hear all types of civil and criminal cases. The Court has a total of 29 judges, four referees and two child support magistrates. The main Courthouse is located in downtown St. Paul. In 2016, more than 216,000 cases were filed in Ramsey County District Court.
