The Minnesota Supreme Court Announces Multiple Vacancies on the Rules of Criminal Procedure Advisory Committee

The Supreme Court is seeking to fill nine vacancies on the Rules of Criminal Procedure Advisory Committee.  The vacancies are for a district court judge, a trial level public defender, a member of the Office of the Attorney General, and county and city prosecutors, including a prosecutor who does appellate work. The committee meets as needed and is responsible for monitoring the rules and hearing and accepting comments for further changes.  The current vacancies are for three-year terms effective January 1, 2026.

All applicants interested in appointment must submit a letter of interest and resume.

Please submit application materials to Christa Rutherford-Block, Clerk of Appellate Courts, via e-mail to mjcappellateclerkofcourt@courts.state.mn.us or by mail to 305 Minnesota Judicial Center, 25 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, St. Paul, MN 55155. Applications must be received no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, October 31st, 2025.  Email applications are preferred.
