McLeod, Sibley & Le Sueur counties seek a volunteer pro bono attorney to serve as Conciliation Court Referees.

This is a unique opportunity to give back to your community while gaining valuable judicial experience.

About Conciliation Court:
Often referred to as Small Claims Court, Conciliation Court is a division of District Court that handles monetary disputes of $20,000 or less. Referees preside over remote hearing calendars, typically managing 20–25 cases per half-day session.

Hearing Schedule by County:

  • Le Sueur County: 3rd Monday of each month at 9:00 AM
  • McLeod County: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 PM
  • Sibley County: 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 AM
