What the Court Information Office Cannot Do
- CIO staff cannot conduct legal research for reporters. See Minnesota Statutes, Session Laws, and Rules.

- CIO staff cannot comment on judicial selection or elections.
- Questions about the judicial selection process, or about candidates for any court, should be directed to the Governor’s Office.
- Election or campaign inquiries should be directed to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s Office.
- CIO staff do not know when orders or opinions will be issued and cannot answer these questions.
