Beware of Jury Scams
Please be aware that if you miss jury service the court will never ask a law enforcement officer to do the following over the phone:
- collect a fine from you,
- collect personal information,
- or serve a warrant
Scammers are spoofing law enforcement phone numbers, so if you are unsure, hang up and call the law enforcement agency directly.
If you receive a suspicious phone call of this nature, hang up, and promptly report the call to your local Sheriff's Office.

Parking
Public parking is available in the Anoka County Parking Ramp located on 4th Avenue and Van Buren Street. Look for the large "P" sign extending from the building and enter through the public parking gate. You'll be issued a white parking ticket, please keep this in your vehicle. Once inside the ramp, jurors may park in any spot on the first level that does not indicate it is reserved. Security Screening
Please do NOT bring any item that could be used as a weapon to any courthouse. Those items will not be allowed in areas beyond screening checkpoints, and illegal weapons will be confiscated. There may be a line at security checkpoint, so please allow yourself enough time to get to the courthouse.
You may bring snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, laptops, tablets, reading materials, phones, and other personal items through security. Please note, metal forks, spoons, and knives will not be permitted through security. However, the jury office is supplied with plastic utensils for your convenience.
Prohibited items include Firearms, bladed instruments or cutting tools of any size, electronic incapacitation devices, chemical incapacitation sprays, explosives, ammunition, combustible or flammable liquid, any other item designed or carried as a weapon capable of producing death or great bodily harm and any replica or toy versions of the above items. Additionally, sharp objects such as scissors, corkscrews, or knitting needles are prohibited.
Reporting Instructions
Anoka County utilizes a phone-in system to inform jurors when to report for service. Prospective jurors are assigned a 1 to 3-digit call-in group number, found on their summons and are instructed to call the Anoka County Jury Phone–In System at:
(763) 760-6590 during various times throughout their term of service. This 1 to 3-digit call-in group number will be used to find out if, when, and how to report for a trial. If called in to report for jury service, please report to:

Jury service terms in Anoka County are 2 weeks in length. If serving on a trial that lasts longer, jurors are required to serve until the trial concludes. Jurors must continue to call the Anoka County Jury Phone-In System at (763) 760-6590 during their jury service term for service instructions.
Normal hours for jurors are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Personal Items and Storage
- Electronic Devices: Cell phones, laptops, tablets, smart watches, and other electronic devices may be used only in the Jury Assembly Room. If you are called to a courtroom, all electronic devices must be turned off and stored in one of the available lockers in the Jury Assembly Room. These items are not permitted in the courtroom.
- Personal Belongings: Backpacks, purses, briefcases, tote bags, and other personal belongings may be kept with you in the Jury Assembly Room. Before reporting to a courtroom, these items must be stored in an available locker. Personal belongings are not permitted in the courtroom unless specifically authorized by court staff.
- Reading Materials: Books, magazines, newspapers, and other approved reading materials may be used in the Jury Assembly Room while you wait. These items are not permitted in the courtroom and must also be stored in a locker before you report to the courtroom.
- Beverages: We highly recommend bringing a refillable water bottle with a secure lid. Refillable covered water bottles, as well as covered coffee cups and covered soda containers, are the only personal items permitted in the courtroom. Any other food, beverages, or personal items must remain stored in your locker while you are in the courtroom.
