A free surface lot is located in front of the courthouse, and on-street parking is available.
Security Screening
Please do NOT bring any item that could be used as a weapon to any courthouse. Those items will not be allowed in areas beyond screening checkpoints, and illegal weapons will be confiscated. There may be a line at a security checkpoint, so please allow yourself enough time to get to the courthouse.Snacks and beverages are allowed in the jury assembly room only.
Reporting Instructions
First Day: Pine County utilizes a phone-in system to inform jurors when to report for service. Prospective jurors are instructed to call the jury information line at (320) 591-1518 or (800) 204-0636 after 5:00 p.m. the night before the first day of service for information on time and place to appear. Do not report for jury service unless you are instructed to do so by the jury information line. You will not receive a call, text, or an email. It is your responsibility to call the recorded message line (320) 591-1518, after 5:00 p.m. the night before your two-week term starts.
Second and Subsequent Days: Jury service terms in Pine County are two weeks in length. If serving on a trial that lasts longer, jurors are required to serve until the trial concludes. Jurors must continue to call the Pine County Jury Phone-In System at (320) 591-1518 during their jury service term for service instructions.
Normal hours for jurors are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Personal Items and Your Phone
- Cell phones are allowed in the jury assembly room. However, if you are called to a courtroom, you must be sure to turn off your cell phone.
- Magazines and other reading material are permitted.
- Laptop computers or tablets: there is wireless internet in the jury assembly room and electrical outlets for your use.
- Please keep in mind that there are security measures similar to airport screening. Do not bring sharp objects such as scissors, corkscrews or knitting needles as they may be confiscated.
