Parking

Parking is available in the parking lot in the front of the Polk County Justice Center.

Security Screening

Please do NOT bring any item that could be used as a weapon to any courthouse. Those items will not be allowed in areas beyond screening checkpoints, and all weapons will be confiscated. There may be a line at a security checkpoint, so please allow yourself enough time to get to the courthouse.

Reporting Instructions

  • Be sure to call the Juror Line after 5 p.m. the Monday BEFORE your term starts to see if you are required to report your first week of service. You will listen to a greeting to see if your Call In/Group Number has been selected and you are called in for service. he number is found on the upper right corner of your jury summons.

  • Then continue to call the Juror Line as instructed by the Juror Line greeting throughout your term to see if you are required to appear for service.

Personal Items and Your Phone

  • You may not bring the following items into the building: food and beverages, cameras, cell phones, pagers, computers and all other electronic/communication devices. Please leave your cell phone in your car or at home.

  • You may bring magazines and other reading material.

  • Please keep in mind that there are security measures similar to airport screening. Do not bring sharp objects such as scissors, corkscrews, or knitting needles as they may be confiscated.
