Parking

Parking is available in the lot on the south side of the Courthouse, in lots on the other side of Mill Street, and on the street.

Security Screening

Everyone who enters the Courthouse passes through a metal detector and is screened by security staff.

Please do NOT bring any item that could be used as a weapon to any courthouse. Those items will not be allowed in areas beyond screening checkpoints, and illegal weapons will be confiscated. There may be a line at the security checkpoint, so please allow yourself enough time to get through the checkpoint.

Reporting Instructions

Call the juror line at (507) 686-7030 before you leave to report for jury duty as your report time may change or you may not need to report at all. When you arrive at the Courthouse, security staff and jury attendants will direct you to the correct jury assembly room.

Personal Items and Your Phone

  • Cell phones are allowed in the jury assembly room but only until the seated jury begins deliberations.
  • Magazines and other reading material are provided. Laptop computers or tablets are not permitted.
  • Please keep in mind that there are security measures similar to airport screening.
  • Do not bring sharp objects such as scissors or knitting needles as they may be confiscated.
