Minnesota IOLTA Program

The Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA) Program was created in 1982 through Rule 1.15 of the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct.

Minnesota IOLTA Program

The purpose of the program is to enhance the availability of civil legal services to low-income people through grants to programs that provide direct legal services, deliver law-related public education, or work to enhance the administration of justice.  As of July 1, 2025, the program is managed by the State Board of Civil Legal Aid. Their website includes trust account information and forms for attorneys and banks.
